MOLLY Ringwald looked ageless during a recent public appearance, as The Breakfast Club star was photographed in New York.
Molly, 56, cut a fashionable figure as she joined a friend for a stroll through Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood on Monday, September 9.
The veteran actress rocked a signature Eighties look, wearing flared denim jeans and a printed top with exaggerated cap sleeves.
She finished her outfit with a pair of large brown sunglasses, mustard yellow flats, and a houndstooth blazer, draped over one of her shoulders.
Molly is best known for her performance as popular high-school student Claire in John Hughes’ cult classic The Breakfast Club.
She also starred in Sixteen Candles (1984) and Pretty in Pink (1986), which are both counted among the late filmmaker’s most notable works.

LOOKING BACK ON THE BREAKFAST CLUB
Molly reflected on being a part of The Breakfast Club, which is widely considered one of the greatest films ever made, in an interview with The Times earlier this year.
She admitted some scenes from the movie “haven’t aged well,” highlighting how Judd Nelson’s character John Bender “essentially sexually harasses” Claire.
The Breakfast Club follows five high school students who are forced to attend detention on a Saturday.
Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, and Ally Sheedy also starred in the film.
Speaking to the British newspaper, Molly said, “I don’t enjoy watching myself on screen.
“I only rewatched The Breakfast Club, which came out in 1985, because [my daughter] Mathilda wanted to see it with me.
“There is a lot that I really love about the movie but there are elements that haven’t aged well – like Judd Nelson’s character, John Bender, who essentially sexually harasses my character.
“I’m glad we’re able to look at that and say things are truly different now.”
Her Breakfast Club co-star Ally, 62, has also previously criticized parts of the film in recent years.
In an interview with The Independent, she admitted she “never liked” the scene in which Claire gives her character, the socially awkward high-schooler Allison, a makeover.
“Listen, it was Hollywood in the Eighties,” she told the outlet. “They wanted to take the ugly duckling and make her into a swan.
“As far as I was concerned, that wasn’t what I was doing with that character, but that was what they wanted.”
MOLLY AND ALLY’S FRIENDSHIP
Molly and Ally have remained close to each other in the years since The Breakfast Club was released in 1985.
Molly gave fans a sneak peek into their friendship after she shared a sweet photo with Ally on her Instagram account in December 2022 – nearly 38 years after they acted together.
In the snap, the former co-stars were seen giving each other a hug after a meal at New York restaurant Cafe Luxembourg.
Molly captioned the post, “Early Christmas present-dinner with my psychic sister Ally in the film.”
They reunited on-screen in 2022 when Molly and Ally appeared on Freeform sitcom Single Drunk Female.
Speaking about their new venture at the time, Molly told EW: “Acting with Ally Sheedy is like being with a member of my family.
“We have so much history we barely need to even speak. The challenge is trying not to cry!
“Getting to be on set with her again was one of the best parts of my year.”
Meanwhile, Ally added: “Molly is such a meaningful friend to me and we’ve only grown closer over the years.
“I delight in her company so working on our episode together was a joy.
RED CARPET READY
Earlier this year, Molly left fans delighted after she made a rare red carpet appearance, alongside her twin son and daughter, Roman and Adele.
Molly was presented with the Variety Creative Vanguard Award at the 41st edition of the Miami Film Festival that was held in Florida in April.
The Riverdale actress looked incredible as she walked the red carpet in a floor-length cream dress with gold detailing, before posing for pictures with her children.
She shares fraternal twins, Adele and Roman, 14, with her husband Panio Gianopoulous.
The couple also have an older daughter, Mathilda, 20, who is a model.
