They’re crazy in love with this hat.
As Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour kicks off Wednesday in Stockholm, die-hard fans are DIYing their own version of the disco ball cowgirl hat she dons in the artwork for her tour announcement.
“When I saw Beyoncé in that hat, I was immediately obsessed with it and knew I wanted to wear it for the tour,” Leila Ostria, 27, told The Post.
“But when I saw that the hat [retailed] online for, like, $350, I decided to just make it myself.”
The 27-year-old from Gaithersburg, Maryland, shelled out around $7,000 for prime seats at six of the “Alien Superstar” singer’s shows in multiple cities, including two performances in Washington, D.C., as well as gigs in Minneapolis, Atlanta, Miami and Pittsburgh.
But when it came to wowing in her chic chapeau, Ostria was decidedly more thrifty.
She bought five packs of self-adhesive, 5-millimeter-by-5-millimeter disco-tiles for $10 each, as well as a $14.99 white cowboy hat made of firm felt, from Amazon. (The hat is now listed for $18.99.)
Then she cut each individual sheet into strips and carefully applied them onto the hat — a painstaking process that took seven hours over the course of two days.
In total, materials for the haute headgear cost her less than $70.
“It will be the perfect addition to every outfit for the tour,” said Ostria. “It’s really rewarding to make something that’s similar to the original piece that Beyoncé wore.”
Beyoncé’s twinkling accessory, which also appears on her Instagram avatar, was custom-made by crafty milliner Abby Misbin, 24, from Philadelphia. But under the viral TikTok hashtag #DiscoBallHat, which has more than 3.1 million views, creative members of the BeyHive are replicating funky versions of it for under $100.
Misbin told The Post that it’s rewarding to see so many folks recreate her Bey-approved masterpiece.
“I think it’s super cool,” she said. “I love seeing fans put their own spin on it. And it’s nice that people on TikTok recognize me for making it for Beyoncé.”
In early February 2022, Misbin, who began designing and selling disco hats on Etsy out of her parents’ basement in 2020, was contacted by a member of Beyoncé’s styling team, who was seeking to purchase an embellished topper for her musical highness.
“I was like, ‘Oh my god! Beyoncé?,’” recalled Misbin of receiving the request. “I knew it was [a legitimate order] because the stylist’s Etsy account was linked to her Instagram, which listed Beyoncé and other celebrities as her clients.”
She worked through the night to handcraft the hat, then priced at $250, and mailed it to the “Cuff It” star the next day.
“When I saw that Beyoncé had actually worn it, I was super, super hyped,” she said. “She’s the celebrity of all celebrities.”
Misbin, who now charges $300-$350 for the hat, said she’s received “hundreds and hundreds” of requests for it since the Grammy winner announced her tour and isn’t planning to fulfill any new orders for the next three months.
Super fan Kendall Reed told The Post that he closely studied Misbin’s hats when designing his own for the Renaissance tour stop in Chicago on July 22.
But for even more pizzazz, he tacked 10,000 disco-tiles onto a $23 light-up cowboy hat, all purchased from Amazon.
“The lights are so fun. I’ll be wearing it with some disco cowboy boots that I made, and a denim outfit that I decorated with rhinestone fringe and the words ‘Alien Superstar’ in bedazzled letters,” said Reed, 23, from Illinois.
“Beyoncé’s fashion is so inspiring. I can’t wait to wear it.”
And neither can Ostria.
“I can literally picture all of the stadiums full of these shiny hats,” she said to The Post with a laugh.
Still, she plans to remove hers once the star hits the stage — and hopes others do the same.
“As someone who paid a lot of money for tickets,” said Ostria, “I’ll be so mad if someone’s hat is blocking my view.”
