Known for their swirling guitars and cinematic soundscapes, the Cardiff-based band continues to expand their sonic universe ahead of their upcoming Safe Mode EP.

Blending woozy dream-pop with sharp, fuzz-laden riffs, ‘Is It Summer’ unfolds in two distinct parts. The track opens with an atmospheric, cinematic quality reminiscent of Interpol before bursting into a euphoric, high-energy climax. Drawing inspiration from the wild-west nature of the ’90s tech boom, the song the erupts into the second half and outro as it captures a sense of longing and urgency.

“This started out as a riff with loads of delay played on an old Vox amp we found where we were practicing. We then jammed about and it developed into a song in two parts. It has a cinematic quality in the first half with hints of Interpol. It reflects the wild westnature of the 90s tech boom. Then it erupts in the second half and outro (“Stand up count everything / If you want to / If you want to”).”

‘Is It Summer’ is out now.
