ZOE Ball is known for cheering the nation up on their way to work in the mornings.
But the beloved radio presenter has not hosted her show for several weeks. So why hasn’t Zoe been on-air?
Where is Zoe Ball?
Zoe Ball usually hosts her breakfast slot on Radio 2 every weekday morning from 6.30am to 9.30am.
Her show talks about the latest in music, updates in breaking news and even features special guests like Rod Stewart and Harry Styles.
Zoe revealed in March 2024 that her mum had been diagnosed with cancer.
Sadly, her mother passed away just a month later.
Although she has not confirmed why she has been away in August and September 2024, fans have given Zoe the space that she needs.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Nobody knows what has happened but everyone loves Zoe.
“We hope everything is okay. Zoe is so loved at the BBC so to not have her around is really noticeable.”
Who has replaced Zoe Ball on her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show today?
The radio DJ Scott Mills has been standing in for Zoe whilst she has been away.
He has had some big stars as guests on the show, including Channing Tatum and Richard Osman.
Although they did not give an exact date, the BBC have confirmed that Zoe will be returning to the show “later this month”.
How long has Zoe been presenting the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show?
On October 3, 2018, Chris Evans announced live on his Radio 2 Breakfast Show that Zoe would be his replacement.
Zoe then took on the role at the beginning of 2019, hosting the show since January 14 of that year.
Chris then moved over to Virgin Radio.
Zoe has had a long history on the airwaves and even hosted the early breakfast show on Radio 1 in the 90s.
