BRIAN Gaskill has been added to the show, The Young and the Restless.
The 53-year-old was on a rival soap opera nearly 30 years prior.
Brian will take on the role of Seth on The Young and the Restless, according to Deadline.
He will be a character in Nikki’s AA meeting, as reported by TV Guide.
Seth and Nikki will grow close and become friends.
“The actor says his character has a good heart but, is very broken,” someone on the message board wrote.
Brian is no stranger to soap operas, as he began his soaps career in 1994 on Models Inc.
Brian then went on to star in All My Children in 1995, followed by The Bold and the Beautiful, Port Charles, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light.
In 2022, he told Soap Opera Digest: “I love the medium and I think I have a lot to bring to the table. If the part was right and if I was right for it, I would love to do it.”
YIKES!
This comes after Doug Davidson was cut from The Young and the Restless, and blasted the show in September.

He played Paul Williams on the show.
According to SoapHub, Doug said it was “so much easier to say goodbye” than he thought it would be after leaving.
He revealed that the beginning of the end of his time on the soap was when CBS started making changes in December 2018.
Doug said that Charles Pratt Jr. came on board following former executive producer Jill Farren Phelps and “made the decision” to let him go.
“He had a history of cutting legendary characters from his shows,” he told the outlet.
“He made the claim that nobody has to know.”
However, Doug said that fans noticed because not having his character Paul on the show would “raise red flags.”
He also said that he was told not to worry about his role because he was “under guarantee.”
DOUG DID NOT RETURN
Doug was contacted about eventually returning to the show, but revealed her turned it down.
“I had several Zoom meetings with Danielle [Unger, director of current at CBS]. She was delightful, engaging, forthcoming, honest — everything you’d want to see,” he said.
Several executives told him they could “find a middle ground.”
But when Doug’s lawyer contacted Sony, “it was like they had no clue” about his talks with the heads of the network.
“I felt there was a total disregard to my legal representation. My answer was, ‘No, thanks,'” Doug said.
Doug said his reason for being cut wasn’t because there was no story.
It was due to money.
“There’s always story. There are plenty of story wheels that would work. But that’s not the reason,” he said.
“Paul is more expensive than Danny. That’s what it’s all about.”
Doug also claimed at a later date on social media that it was about “respect” at the time.
