Netflix is gearing up for That ’90s Show Season 2, and judging by the new trailer, it will be the familiar mix of new and old that made the first season a success. Watch the trailer below.
The clip opens with Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), daughter of Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon), as she returns to spend the summer in Wisconsin with her grandparents Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and Red (Kurtwood Smith).
For Leia, this means balancing quality time with her grandparents and reconnecting with her boyfriend after a whole school year apart — while navigating potential landmines in their friend group.
“Leia and Jay are excited to be together again after nine months of long distance. But she’s on edge since Jay still doesn’t know she almost kissed Nate,” reads the official logline. “Nate is concerned that his girlfriend, Nikki, doesn’t know either. How long can they keep this secret? Turns out, not long at all. And when the truth finally comes out, relationships are threatened, friendships are at stake, and the summer is on the verge of ending before it even gets started.”
That ’90s Show also stars Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos. There will be an impressive lineup of guest actors for Season 2, including Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Will Forte, Seth Green, Lisa Loeb, and Carmen Electra.
Season 2 of That ’90s Show will be a two-part release on Netflix. Part 2 of the series premieres on June 27th, with the other half of the season releasing on October 24th.
