Stephen Dorff, Kate Walsh Part of Steve Pink’s ‘What The F*ck Is My Password?!’

EXCLUSIVE: Hot Tub Time Machine franchise filmmaker Steve Pink has set the cast for his new comedy What the F*ck Is My Password?! with Alexander Ludwig, Poppy Liu, Ricky Staffieri, Stephen Dorff, Kate Walsh and Sarah Grey.

Cameras rolls in August in New Jersey on the Public House Pictures production.

Written by Jeff Morris (True Memoirs of an International Assassin), from a story by Morris and
Pink, pic follows a guy who learns he invested in bitcoin while drunk on graduation night more than 13 years ago—and is now worth more than 200 million dollars. A new future and wealth beyond his wildest dreams await him—if he can just remember his goddamn password. After his first attempt fails, he’s horrified to discover he only has four tries and seven days to figure out what it is, or he loses the money forever.

Ludwig said in a statement, ““This is one of those projects that makes you go, ‘I have to be a part of this.’ It reminds me of those 90s comedies I loved so much growing up. With Steve Pink at the helm – who I have been a huge fan of – I know we’re going to deliver something special. There has been a clear gap in the market for far too long of these sorts of films, and I’m grateful to be a part of the resurgence. It’s hysterical, outlandish and an all-around good time, penned expertly. We’re shooting for an Oscar but will settle for a Teen Choice Award.”

Exclaimed Pink, “As a cinematic visionary, movie-goers, nay the world has been waiting with bated breath to see what I’d do next. There is only one answer: this brilliant script with this extraordinary cast. I couldn’t be more excited to bring What the F*ck is My Password?! to life.”

The film is produced by Christopher Irion, Rob Hammersley, and Sonya Novak of Public House Pictures, alongside Pink and Morris. Also producing are Molly Conners and Amanda Bowers of Phiphen Pictures (Like Father, Wish You Were Here). David Gendron, Ali Jazayeri and Viviana Zarragoitia of Three Point Capital are serving as executive producers.

Pink most recently directed the sci-fi thriller Terrestrial, which premiered at the Fantasia Film
Festival. He co-wrote Grosse Pointe Blank and High Fidelity.
