Soul Coughing has announced the band’s first-ever official live album, LIVE 2024, set to release Friday, April 4, 2025. The long-awaited record will feature 22 classic hits and fan-favorite deep-cuts recorded on the group’s sold-out 2024 tour, their first outing in a quarter century. For the fans that missed out on that run–and the original lineup of Mark De Gli Antoni on keys, Mike Doughty on vocals/guitar, Yuval Gabay on drums and Sebastian Steinberg on bass, who clearly enjoyed their reunion–Soul Coughing has also unveiled a slate of tour dates for 2025, plotting 14 further appearances across the country through April.
Soul Coughing will kick off their next lap on Friday, April 9, with a staging at Memphis, Tenn.’s Hi-Tone Café, followed by a set at The Pageant in St. Louis on April 10. The 90s alt-rock pathbreakers will then double back to Tennessee for an April 11 staging at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, preceding a stop at Atlanta’s The Eastern on April 12. On April 13, they’ll head south to Birmingham, Ala. for a night at Iron City, then set up at the iconic New Orleans venue Tipitina’s on April 15.
The reformed quartet is slated for a trio of performances in Texas, with stops in Houston, Dallas, and Austin on April 16, 18 and 19. On April 22, Soul Coughing will head to The Majestic Theater in Detroit, then continue through the Midwest for a show at Cleveland’s House of Blues on April 23. After a lone Canadian date, scheduled for April 24 at Toronto’s HISTORY, the group will make two final stops in their home state of New York. April 25 promises a set at Water Street Music Hall in Rochester, N.Y., with a show at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., set to bring the band’s next chapter to a close on on April 26.
