Legendary nineties dance act reunite for live gig 29 years after chart smash hit

Alex Party have reunited for a festival in the UK

LEGENDARY 90s dance act Alex Party has reunited for their first live gig – 29 years after their smash hit.

The Italian dance act was famed for song Don’t Give Me Your Life, which reached number two in the charts in 1995.

The group will performing at this year’s Chester Pride festival.

The band consisted of the brothers Paolo and Gianni Visnadi, DJ Alex Natale, and vocalist, singer and songwriter Shanie Campbell.

Their most famous single to date is Don’t Give Me Your Life which reached number 2 in both the UK and Republic of Ireland in 1995.

The group’s first single, Saturday Night Party (Read My Lips), became an Ibiza anthem during the summer of 1993.

It became their first Top 40 hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at 29.

They released their next single, Simple Things in 1997 which achieved success in some countries.

In 1999, Don’t Give Me Your Life was re-released which included new mixes and a full-length bonus track.

The following year they brought out U Gotta Be a rare and over the next few years new music appeared on Portuguese compilation album, named Top Star 2001,

They will be joined by a number of popular acts including Louise Redknapp and X Factor stars The Cheeky Girls and Shayne Ward.

The annual event supports, celebrates and advocates for the LGBTQ+ community of Cheshire, North Wales and the Wirral.

While Sharon Wallace, Jan George, Ella Grace, Shagger, Baga Chipz and Kym Mazelle will also be there to entertain the crowds.
