Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are seemingly never-ending cycle of “Will they, won’t they?”, as new reports indicate the 55-year-old pop star as been having “lingering doubts” about the divorce she made official in August. Affleck and Lopez previously got married in July 2022.
According to alleged inside sources, Jennifer Lopez has reportedly stayed at Ben Affleck’s new place following their divorce due to a feeling of “hesitation” over their split
Prior to their summer 2022 marriage, Lopez and Affleck famously dated in the early 2000s and were collectively referred to as “Bennifer.”
“According to the first insider, Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, have been struggling with ‘lingering doubts’ and ‘hesitation’ over whether or not they’re making the right decision about their break up — especially when it comes to their family.”
“J.Lo has stayed over at Ben’s place a couple times. When it’s good, it’s really good, but when it’s bad, it’s really bad — and things are so good when they are friends. If things are better between them because they’re separated, that’s a reason the divorce would go through.” [via US Weekly]
In addition to the familial connections, Affleck and Lopez remain linked professionally, as Affleck’s production company Artists Equity has produced both of Lopez’s upcoming films.
The first of the two, Unstoppable, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and will be releasing on Prime Video on January 16. While Affleck’s best friend and producing partner Matt Damon was at the TIFF premiere on September 6, Affleck was not in attendance.
The film is a biopic about one-legged NCAA champion wrestler Anthony Robles and also stars Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.
The other upcoming Lopez-starring film that Artists Equity is producing an adaptation of the 90s Broadway play Kiss of the Spider Woman, which will also feature Andor star Diego Luna.
“It’s probably the most challenging and rewarding role I’ve ever had. It’s about love, acceptance, and finding beauty in the darkness. I think those themes are so relevant right now,” Lopez previously said of the role.
