GWEN Stefani is getting ready to reconnect with an ex boyfriend, and the singer has gushed that she can’t wait for it.
The reunion comes as speculation continues over Gwen and husband Blake Shelton‘s wedding status.
Gwen recently gushed over her upcoming get-together with her fellow No Doubt bandmates.
The 54-year-old, who fronted the 90s alternative band, will join them once more for a gig at Coachella.
That includes bassist – and former boyfriend – Tony Kanal.
Gwen shared her excitement for their reunion by sharing a photo of the two, and their bandmates, appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon from 2012.
“WOW!!” Gwen captioned the pic in all-caps. “Coachella can’t come soon enough.”
She also populated the post with four hearts emojis, along with a fifth showing a smiley face emoting more hearts.
MEMORY MAKERS
Gwen and Tony, 53, dated for seven years – from 1987 to 1994. They remained close friends after their separation, and continued to collaborate on many songs together, most notably the hit Don’t Speak.
The Spiderwebs singer earlier shared a memory of their relationship, when she was seen looking through a bunch of nostalgic items and memories from her time with the group.
“This is actually bringing back so many memories,” she said.
The memorabilia seemed to stir some long-dormant feelings inside of her, as she suddenly decided to text her ex.
“I’m going to text Tony right now,” she said, referring to the bassist.
Then a screen popped up of their conversation.
“Hi, what are you doing?” she innocently texted.
“Whoa,” a seemingly shocked Tony sent back, further asking, “What’s up!?”
Gwen responded by confessing she was “thinking about u guys,” referring to Tony and the other members.
The video then jumped to a group video chat of everyone from the band, including Tony, Adrian Young, and Tom Dumont.
Quickly after, they all agreed: “We should do a show.”
ON THE ROAD
Gwen’s gathering comes as her husband Blake continues on the road for his Back To The Honkey Tonk tour.
Fans suspected the husband/wife duo have been spending more time apart due to their business ventures.
In early February, an insider revealed their jam-packed schedules made it harder for them to find time to spend together.
“They’ve been spending a lot of time away from each other the past several months,” a source told Life & Style.
“It’s been frustrating. Their relationship of late has been a lot of texting and talking on the phone.”
“Gwen and Blake used to be inseparable, but that’s changed.
“Everyone loves them together, so hopefully this is just a temporary thing,” the insider closed.
