Fleshwater Announce New Album, Unveil Single “Jetpack”: Stream

Fleshwater have announced their sophomore album, 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky, out September 5th.

The Massachusetts band also served up the lead single “Jetpack,” a slab of heavy post-hardcore with a hint of ’90s alternative metal. It’s no surprise the rising group — featuring members of Vein.fm alongside vocalist Marisa Shirar — has shared bills with Deftones and The Mars Volta. The former are an especially solid reference point for Fleshwater’s sound.

“A really special song that takes me on an adventure every time I hear it,” guitarist-singer Anthony DiDio said of “Jetpack” in a press release. “It was the main source of inspiration for this album and really encapsulates the entire vibe of it. I’m excited for people to finally hear it and have it take them on their own personal journey.”
