Nathan told The Sun: “We’re actually in the process of over the next year and a half or two, of finally dialling up what we call a ‘Boyz II Men life story’ in the form of a biopic”.

He continued: “People always ask us ‘What happened?’ and ‘Where did you go?’ There’s a lot that people don’t know about the details of our story. Most fans only know about the music, even in this social media era.”

The multi-platinum artist continued: “I think people who watch the film will be extremely surprised. Many people think it’s just bow ties, and us dancing around in sweaters, but there’s so much more to our story.”

Music enthusiasts can also look out for new music from the hitmakers. Nathan said: “We’ll probably put new music out in the form of a soundtrack to accompany the film.”

The 90s music sensations would eventually become the best-selling R&B group of all time, selling an astounding 60 million records worldwide.

Their Grammy award winning hit End Of The Road, taken from another classic soundtrack 1992 film Boomerang, went number one in several countries including the UK.

In the US, the 1993 R&B ballad spent a record breaking 13 weeks at number one. The following year, they would break pop powerhouse Whitney Houston I Will Always Love You record, with their hit I’ll Make Love to You, which spent 14 weeks at number one in 1994.

The balladeers would eventually break their own record with the duet One Sweet Day, with another pop queen, Mariah Carey, 54, which spent 16 weeks at number one from 1995 to 1996.

From 2005, the remaining group members Nathan, Wanya Morris, 50, and Shawn Stockman, 51, have continued to record music and tour as a trio after fourth member Michael McCary left the group in 2003, reportedly due to health related issues.

The R&B superstars have inspired an array of contemporary music talent including Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, 30, who collaborated with the group back in 2011 on his song Fa La La.
