blink-182's Mark Hoppus Announces Book Tour for New Memoir

blink-182 singer-bassist Mark Hoppus has a new memoir titled Fahrenheit-182 set to arrive on April 8th (pre-order here). To celebrate, he’s hitting the road for a seven-date book tour.

The punk musician will begin his “An Evening with Mark Hoppus and All Things Fahrenheit-182″ tour on April 9th in New York. From there, he’ll hit Somerville, MA; Washington D.C.; Philadelphia; Chicago; and El Cajon, CA, before wrapping up in Los Angeles on April 20th. For each date, he’ll dive into the contents of the memoir, engage in conversation with a special moderator, and probably crack a couple jokes.

An artist pre-sale is already underway using the code MARKRULES, while a Live Nation pre-sale will begin Thursday (February 20th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code DUET. General tickets will be available the following day via Ticketmaster. Each ticket will include a copy of the book.

Fahrenheit-182 was co-authored by Dan Ozzi and explores Hoppus’ experience in blink-182, his battle with cancer, and more.

“This book has everything,” Hoppus said in a promotional faux-informercial. “The young man, born in the California desert, joins a punk rock band and goes on to conquer the world! It’s got skateboarding! It’s got punk rock clubs! It’s got ’90s music! But that’s not all! Pre-order now and we’ll throw in with no extra cost to you: Anxiety! Depression! Band breakups! Loss of self! Suicidal thoughts and ideation! And of course everyone’s favorite: cancer! This shit gets dark.”

Hoppus, along with the rest of blink-182, will also perform at this year’s When We Were Young festival. Get tickets here.
