MICHELLE Trachtenberg has fans saying she now looks completely different than she did as a young actress.
The popular 00s star has been deemed unrecognizable by fans who have accused her of recently getting plastic surgery.
Michelle, 38, was born on October 11, 1985, in New York City.
In the mid-’90s, the Daytime Emmy Award nominee landed the role of Harriet in Harriet the Spy alongside Rosie O’Donnell at just ten years old, shooting her into stardom.
She later landed the role of Dawn in the 90s series Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Michelle went on to play Georgina in the original Gossip Girl, even reprising her role for the revival of the Upper East Side teen drama last year.
Other popular roles she appeared in include Law and Order, NCIS: Los Angeles, Weeds, Ice Princess, Inspector Gadget, Black Christmas, 17 Again, and Take Me Home Tonight.
CHANGING FACE
While Michelle’s beauty radiated throughout the early 2000s, being known for her smooth, dark locks, piercing blue eyes, and full lips, some fans now believe she looks totally different.
As documented on her Instagram, there is a clear change in her face between a selfie taken in July 2021 and a full-body shot taken later that year in October.
Michelle’s cheeks seemed to be much more filled out in the earlier shot and much more carved out in the latter.
On her feed over the past week, the celeb has started regularly posting selfies of herself with a new hairstyle, seeming to appear more unrecognizable than ever.
Some have shown concerns for her health, noticing the child star’s sunken cheeks and coloring in the whites of her eyes.
Others pointed out that her hair had changed texture and that her lips appeared to be extremely cracked.
FAN INTERFERENCE
The actress shared a selfie on Thursday, leaving her long black hair down while flaunting her bright pink tips.
In the comments section, some fans believed the actress had gotten plastic surgery on her face, while others showed concern over her health.
One wrote, “Think I speak for myself and maybe others who might just be concerned for you and your health…I’m not going to lie…I was wondering if you were ok…didn’t think it in harmful mean way just wanting to make sure your health is good.”
They continued, “It’s sad other people have said did you get plastic surgery or any disrespectful things to you about your looks.”
A second claimed, “You’re stunning, but you had buccal fat removal. Your cheeks suddenly look sucked in, exactly the same way the buccal fat removal in the face/cheeks does to people.”
In a previous post, one person attributed her changed appearance to her weight, writing, “Dear Michelle, your face really looks different, but I know from own experience that weight loss can cause that.”
“You didn’t look like this during the gossip reboot…. What happen,” a second noted.
“I always forget that Buffy was such a long time ago. Gee, time flies really fast,” another wrote, adding, “You’re beautiful as always, it’s just realizing that everyone else ages too, not just myself.”
“The whites of your eyes look very yellow. Please see a doctor,” someone said.
MICHELLE RESPONDS
After noticing an abundance of comments regarding plastic surgery and health issues, Michelle followed up with another selfie shortly after to address her “haters.”
“I’ve received several comments recently about my appearance. I have never had plastic surgery I am happy and healthy. Check yourself haters,” she wrote.
Just one day later, she shared two more selfies, with one caption reading, “Whip your hair like you just don’t care.”
She addressed her face in the caption of the next shot, clarifying that her health was fine.
“Fun fact. This is my face. Not malnutrition no problems. Why do you have you hate? Get a calendar,” she slammed.
On another selfie days prior, she had similar words for a commenter who said she looked sick.
“Explain to me how I look sick. Did you lose a calendar and not realize I’m not 14. I’m 38. How sad for you to leave such a comment,” she clapped back.
While some fans believe Michelle’s face has changed dramatically throughout the years, the star accredited it all to aging.
