Dead and Company concluded their Sphere residency on Aug. 10.
Now, less than a month later, bassist Oteil Burbridge is striking out on a tour of his own.
From September through November, the 60-year-old jam band icon will headline at theaters and music halls all over North America on his ‘Oteil & Friends Tour.’
That includes a stop at Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 19.
“Join me with my incredible band featuring Melvin Seals, Steve Kimock, Jason Crosby, Tom Guarna, John Kimock and Lamar Williams Jr.,” Burbridge shared on Instagram.
Fans still on a high from the Dead and Co. run will be pleased to learn that tickets are available for all 14 upcoming ‘Oteil & Friends’ gigs.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $23 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Other shows start anywhere from $58 to $104 before fees.

Oteil Burbridge new music
On Sept. 15, 2023, Burbridge released his nine-track record “Lovely View of Heaven.” Over 67 minutes, the gifted bassist brings nine unassuming, bluesy ballads to life.
After a handful of spins, we repeatedly returned to the calming “Stella Blue,” twangy yet chill “Mission In The Rain” and softly romantic “China Doll.”
What we’ll remember most from this album though is the dusty, gorgeously arranged “So Many Roads,” which teems with life. Around the song’s six-minute mark, a striking violin kicks in and takes the sound to a higher plain. It’s a tremendous piece of music and impossible to listen to only once.
If you want to hear the record for yourself, you can find “Lovely View of Heaven” here.
