'Til Tuesday Reunite at Cruel World for First Performance in 35 Years

‘Til Tuesday, the ’80s new wave band led by Aimee Mann, reunited for their first live performance in 35 years at the Cruel World Festival in Pasadena, California, on Saturday.

Also featuring original members Robert Holmes (guitar), Joey Pesce (keyboards) and Michael Hausman (drums), ‘Til Tuesday ran through an 11-song set that included their signature hit “Voices Carry,” plus other fan favorites “What About Love,” “Coming Up Close,” and “Love in a Vacuum.” Watch fan-captured footage below.

Though nothing else is on the books at the moment, Mann didn’t rule out the possibility of further ‘Til Tuesday concerts depending on how their gig at at Cruel World came off. “If I feel like I can do a really good job singing, then I would consider others,” she told Variety. “Because you want to feel like you’re doing a good job. So, some of this is yet to be determined in rehearsal, and maybe I can juggle some stuff around. But I think that in that first record, the singing is so high and I’m like: I do not understand how that person did it. It’s kind of like you’re trying to sing karaoke and going, ‘Oh, how does this work?’ There’s just some songs that are harder than others. I did a lot of really low verses and then really jumping up the octave to the choruses, and I’m really, really regretting those choices now.”
