Pale Waves have shared dreamy single ‘Gravity’, taken from their upcoming album ‘Smitten’.
With the band’s fourth studio album set to arrive September 27 via Dirty Hit, the third track to be shared from their latest era leans into a bright, guitar-led sound.
It follows the release of ’80s influenced goth-pop track ‘Perfume’ and the nostalgic ‘Glasgow’.
Speaking on the track, vocalist Heather Baron-Gracie has shared:
“Gravity is about a woman who chose Jesus over me. It took the longest of all of the songs on the album to finish, I think we must have rewritten it millions of times to get it to where it is now.”
Released alongside a stunning music video, check it out below.
On the upcoming release of ‘Smitten’, Baron-Gracie has said:
“I found myself writing about not just a certain time period but my whole life, from years ago.
“When I fall in love, I fall deep, and it’s interesting to me that you can feel so fascinated and smitten with someone, and then they can become a total stranger. So, I feel like ‘Smitten’ really summarized perfectly what I felt for others at a certain point.”
The band will head out on a headline tour in support of ‘Smitten’ later this year.
