Synthpop collective Magnetic Skies continue their creative resurgence with the release of their powerful new single, ‘Back To Life,’ out now.

Following the momentum of their spring single ‘A Place on Earth’ and last year’s debut album Empire Falling, ‘Back To Life’ marks a striking evolution in the band’s sound. Melding their synthpop style with darkwave textures and euphoric energy, the track delivers a dynamic mix of nostalgic 80s influence and modern emotional depth. Soaring synths and pulsing beats frame frontman Simon Kent’s reflective lyrics: “We are made of stars / we are meteor showers / losing all control / empty out the soul.” The song paints a vivid picture of emotional disconnection in a fragmented world—and the longing to reclaim meaning.

Kent explains:

“‘Back To Life’ explores the tension between our deep, universal connection and the fragmentation we face in the modern world. It’s about sensing that chaos, feeling the void, the noise, and still holding on to the hope that we can come back from the edge. It’s a call to reconnect, to bring something broken back into wholeness.”

‘Back To Life’ is out now. Tour dates include stops in Birmingham, London, Southampton, and Glasgow, promising an immersive experience for both longtime fans and new listeners alike.
