GOLDEN Bachelor’s Gerry Turner has revealed the truth about the popular reality TV show.
On Tuesday, the TV star and his fiancée Theresa Nist were guests on Live with Kelly and Mark when he made a shocking confession.
Before Theresa, 70, and Gerry, 72, appeared on the stage, viewers got a glimpse at his proposal on The Golden Bachelor and when he said: “You’re not the right person for me to live with,” then took a long pause, convincing Theresa that she wasn’t the one.
However, Gerry continued his speech: “You’re the person I can’t live without.”
Once the soon-to-be-married couple sat down, Kelly immediately wanted answers regarding that long pause.
The US daytime TV co-host said: “We just saw the clip of the moment and Theresa you were all of us. I was like, ‘Oh this is such a weird clip for us to use.’ We all thought you were getting the brush off.
“Gerry, do the producers force you to do that? They make you drag it on like that and keep us all in suspense.”
The star was completely honest: “They suggested it would be really great TV. They didn’t realize it would be horrible to Theresa.”
Theresa added: “It was so mean!”
During their appearance, Gerry looked dapper in a gray suit with a light purple collared shirt and matching tie.

Meanwhile, Theresa stunned in a short shimmery silver dress, sheer tights, and black boots.
WEDDING BELLS!
During the dramatic conclusion of GB, host Jesse Palmer, 45, revealed that Gerry and Theresa’s wedding would be televised live on January 4.
After the wedding, Gerry and Theresa will fly to Italy to celebrate their honeymoon, which was gifted to them during the show’s finale.
Then, they plan on settling down in Charleston, South Carolina, close to where Theresa’s son lives and where Gerry has always toyed with moving to.
PLAYLIST PROBLEMS
As the two prep for their big day, Gerry took to social media to reveal the playlist of songs he wants to be played at the reception – and fans aren’t too keen on the artists.
The TV personality shared a post to his Instagram profile of a legal pad with artists and songs written on it.
The title at the top of the page read: “Gerry playlist.”
Among the first artists listed were Dua Lipa, Latto, and Pink.
Also on the list were Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, and others.
Gerry also revealed some options for first dance songs, including Celine Dion’s The Power of Love and Whitney Houston‘s I Will Always Love You.
The assortment of younger artists left Bachelor Nation convinced that Gerry didn’t make the list, but rather created it with the help of someone on his team for social media.
Gerry’s caption read: “Could this be the start of a WEDDING playlist…”
‘WORST WEDDING PLAYLIST’
In the comments, critics shared their opinions loud and clear.
One wrote: “Someone else made this up. Where are all the songs from the 60s to the 80s?”
“Are your granddaughters choosing the songs?!” another joked.
A third commenter slammed: “This isn’t authentic? Two people born when they were would be mixing in songs from the 70s as well as some old classics. Post another picture when you actually have something we can believe. Maybe Michael Buble singing Home or The Way You Look Tonight.
“Don’t do something unclassy please!!! After all the efforts that went into the first ever Golden Couple.”
Someone else joked: “Worst wedding playlist in history.”
“Where are the classics? It’s your wedding but not at all what I thought your playlist would be,” another person joked.
