FACTS of Life actress Lisa Whelchel has defied age as fans got bad news about the show’s revival.
In 2021, a reboot of the beloved American sitcom was announced, but there was some drama behind the scenes.
Despite the news, Lisa, 61, was all smiles during an outing in Los Angeles, California.
On Friday, The Facts of Life star looked ageless while donning a laid-back look.
Lisa was photographed while walking around her neighborhood in black pants, a red shirt with a white heart, and her hair styled in a messy bun.
The TV star played Blair Warner on the fan-favorite series that aired for nine seasons between 1979 and 1988.
Facts of Life was noted as the longest-running sitcom of the 1980s.
FACTS ONLY
In 2021, the show briefly returned for a live episode that was a part of ABC’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience series.
On the show, Jennifer Aniston played Blair with Gabrielle Union as Tootie, Allison Tolman as Natalie, Ann Dowd as Mrs. Garrett, and Kathryn Hahn as Jo.
Original cast members Lisa, Mindy Cohn (Natalie), and Kim Fields (Tootie) made cameos in the special.
OG star Nancy McKeon (Jo) did not return.
MINDY’S THOUGHTS
At the time, Mindy revealed on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live last week and discussed what happened to the new reboot.
She told Jeff and his co-hosts Michael Hitchcock, and Shane Douglas about a “greedy” co-star that put the entire project on halt.
Mindy revealed that Live in Front of a Studio Audience producer Norman Lear approached Lisa, Mindy, and Kim and asked if they wanted to do a reboot of the show after the huge uproar of their return.
She said, “We had never really talked about it, but we all started to consider it a little bit.
We hired a writer, and the four of us got together on Zooms.”
It always just kind of freaks me out that people will do that. Throw friendships, deep true friendships, under the bus for a dollar.

‘GREEDY B***H’
Although she didn’t name the co-star, Mindy shared her side of the story.
She admitted that the co-star “went behind our backs” and tried to get a solo spinoff show.
“I’m just saying, it was for a 40-year friendship and sisterhood, there was [a] tidal wave of emotion around it,” Mindy said.
She continued, “There’s always a greedy b***h. You know what, Michael Hitchcock? Greedy b***h. I’ll say it.”
As time passed, Mindy admitted that she and the co-star were somewhat on speaking terms, but are “not as united” as they were before.
The TV star said, “What it is, is really sad. But what we were talking about before, you know, during coffee, is that some people are so desperate for either money or fame that it causes them to do things that to me, I guess, I’m still not that jaded. It shocks me.
“You’re gonna do that over money, or that over being famous? It always just kind of freaks me out that people will do that. Throw friendships, deep true friendships, under the bus for a dollar.”
