Maggie Rogers has unveiled a cathartic new song, “In The Living Room,” that sees the acclaimed singer-songwriter processing the end of a relationship. The single arrives with a new ’70s-colored music video. Stream it below.
Anchored by energetic guitar, “In The Living Room” was co-written with Rogers’ longtime collaborator Ian Fitchuk, with whom she also worked closely on her April 2024 album, Don’t Forget Me. As the story of the relationship’s demise unfolds, her vocals increase in power.

“Ian Fitchuk and I were back in the studio and decided to try for one more song,” Rogers shared in a statement. “Like so much of the album, it’s a song about the beauty and pain of memory, and the way that interweaves with reality when you’re processing the exit of a person in your life.”
Tomorrow (October 9th), Rogers will kick off the second leg of her ongoing “Don’t Forget Me Tour,” which marks her first outing playing arenas. Grab last-minute seats to the upcoming shows or look for ticket deals here.
Following the cancellation of Taylor Swift’s Vienna tour stop amid threats of a terrorist attack in August, Rogers and Coldplay’s Chris Martin teamed up to perform a cover of Swift’s “Love Story” dedicated to the Swifties.
