Mclusky have signed to Ipecac Recordings for their new album, due for release in 2025. After sporadic reunion gigs and a clutch of what appeared to be one-off tracks, the influential Welsh rock trio is brewing a follow-up to 2004’s The Difference Between Me and You Is That I’m Not on Fire, as noted last year.

A new statement reads:

mclusky was a band between 1999 and 2005 and now they are a band again.

I know, mindblowing. go wonder at the night.

mclusky is recording a new album. it will be released on ipecac in 2025.

mclusky firmly believes that all djs should be French.

Mclusky released the double-A-side single “Unpopular Parts of a Pig / The Digger You Deep”—their first music since that 2004 album—last September, noting that they hoped to release an album in 2024. Since releasing the compilation Mcluskyism in 2005, frontman Andrew Falkous has put out music with projects including Future of the Left and Christian Fitness.
