LL Cool J and Eminem have officially shared their new song, “Murdergram Deux,” after it leaked earlier this year. Marking the first-ever collaboration between the hip-hop legends, it will appear on LL Cool J’s upcoming album, The FORCE.
Co-produced by Eminem and Q-Tip, the frantic beat for “Murdergram Deux” is a throwback to the mid-2000s, providing a backdrop for the rappers to go back and forth with a flurry of rapid-fire rhymes.
“Give blessings to my disciples, professional I’m a sniper,” LL raps on his second verse. “Like eight miles away, me and Marshall doing murders/ With dirty burners, break them down and melt them in the furnace.”
While closing out the track, Em name-checks “Crack a Bottle,” his 2009 hit with Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. “Go ahead and crack a bottle, ’cause this is E and J/ Meaning me and James, got that avocado,” he spits. “We the sociopaths, and we got your ho on our laps/ And we’re goin’ back to Cali so she can blow on our sax.”
“Murdergram” serves as a reunion of sorts between LL Cool J and Eminem. In 2021, Em joined LL onstage during his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction to perform “Rock the Bells.”
The FORCE will be out September 6th and features the previous singles “Saturday Night Special” featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe, “Passion,” and “Proclivities” with Saweetie. Vinyl pre-orders are ongoing.
Eminem’s most recent album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), dropped in July and temporarily ended Taylor Swift’s reign atop the Billboard 200.
