Kal Penn and Abbie Cornish got into character while filming a scene at the 2024 WeHo Pride Parade on Sunday (June 2) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The 47-year-old actor and the 41-year-old actress recreated Anna Nicole Smith‘s 2005 WeHo Pride Parade appearance for their upcoming movie, Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.
Kal will be playing Anna‘s doctor, Dr Sandeep Kapoor, in the film, which is based off of Kapoor‘s 2017 book of the same name. Abbie, of course, will be portraying Anna Nicole.
“I am beyond excited to announce that I will be playing Anna Nicole Smith in the upcoming feature film Trust Me I’m A Doctor with @kalpenn directed by @thaneeconomou 🙏💖✨,” Abbie shared on Instagram in early May.
While at the parade, Kal shared a couple photos on his Instagram story from filming, revealing it was their last day on the movie.

Trust Me, I’m a Doctor, according to Deadline, centers on “Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, whose life is turned upside down when he is implicated in the death of his former patient — model, actress, and reality TV star, Anna Nicole Smith.”
It “takes place at the height of early 2000s tabloid culture and explores the intersection of fame, privacy, self-discovery and politics through the perspective of a man who wound up forced into the spotlight through the court of public opinion.”
