If you have not listened to JoJo since the early 2000s, it is not too little or too late! Sorry (not sorry) for the awful pun but I am completely serious when I say that.
JoJo Levesque continues to sell-out shows all over the world and most recently stopped at a historic concert hall in Manchester, England. One particular video from the evening really tickled my ear drums.
JoJo, the youngest solo artist in history to top the Billboard music charts at the age of 13 in 2004, sold more than seven million records worldwide just three years later. Although her style and approach to the industry has changed over the years, she continues to be one of the best singers on the planet.
I had the pleasure of seeing JoJo perform for the first time at Breland and Friends in Nashville last month. She and Breland performed one of his songs and one of hers. The Ryman Auditorium sang along to every single word. I was blown away by her vocals.
I immediately hit follow on social media as soon as I got home, so my algorithms on social media constantly feed me JoJo video after JoJo video. Although I do think it is weird how our phones know everything, I’m not complaining because I never would’ve discovered her cover of Teddy Swims!
Apparently this is a thing that she does at a lot of her shows.
JoJo goes H.A.M. on ‘Lose Control.’
If we’re being honest, it might sound even better than the original.
JoJo most recently performed at Albert Hall in Manchester. The British music venue was built more than a century ago so you can feel the history in the walls. To hear 4,000+ patrons sing along with the 34-year-old will send a small shiver down your spine. It did for me, at least.

I was not previously aware of Albert Hall but it has very quickly moved to the top of my bucket list. And I am already eyeing my next (first?) JoJo concert — if nothing more than to hear this cover live!
