Jason Segel’s ‘Dracula Musical’ from 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall remains to this day one of the funniest subplots of any Comedy to come out of Hollywood in that era.

In fact, the Dracula musical played a crucial part in Forgetting Sarah Marshall landing at #6 on the list of the 10 best comedies from the early 2000s.

This article previously appeared on BroBible this time last year but I updated it since we are getting cloes to Halloween and it seemed as timely as ever…. Jason Segel was seen on stage in Los Angeles this time last year performing ‘Dracula’s Lament‘, the song he sings in front of a bar after Mila Kunis forces him on stage in the movie, and he absolutely crushed it 15 years later.

Unfortuantely, there were two videos from people in the crowd filming Jason Segel belting out ‘Dracula’s Lament’ but one of them has since been deleted from TikTok. The first of the two clips, the deleted one, was 2+ minutes. The second clip that still exists is below:

Here is a bonus ‘Dracula’s Lament’ video from a few years back on the Late Late Show:

A top comment on that video is “this is my Eras Tour.” Same. Jason Segel’s Dracula Musical would be my Eras Tour for sure.

Jason’s cast read through of the scene where he performs ‘Dracula’s Lament’ in the bar with Mila Kunis is one of the greatest behind-the-scenes clips of all time.

It is important that you watch that if you have not seen it before, you will thank me because it’s that good. Trust me on this.

This movie holds a special place in my heart. There’s something about it that makes it one of my favorite bro comedies from that era. The ensemble cast is perfect. Jason Segel is at his best and allowed to get weird in a way that he wasn’t often able to do on HIMYM. The Dracula musical? That’s as good as it gets. What a moment!
