Manchester’s indie-pop sensation Delights release their electrifying new single ‘Two Times Over’ today, and announce their biggest headline show to date at the iconic 1300-capacity New Century Hall on 1st November.
‘Two Times Over’ signals a new and compelling era for Delights, coming hot on the heels of a successful UK headline tour and ahead of a busy festival season that includes slots at Truck Festival and Y Not Festival. The track marks a sonic evolution for the band, showcasing their multifaceted approach with influences ranging from funk and soul to indie-pop and psychedelia. Produced by Michael Smith (Wolf Alice), ‘Two Times Over’ is a stadium-sized anthem that recalls the early 2000s sounds of bands like Cut Copy, !!!, and The Rapture.
Vocalist Adam Maxwell comments:
“‘Two Times Over’ was written as a sort a mirror to where we see ourselves as a band – both personally and as a collective. It’s a wider reflection on where we stand at this very moment – contemplating our past and looking toward the future. The song is also something of a tongue-in-cheek character portrayal; that person who’s still out there living for the weekend, whilst all their friends are growing up and moving on with their lives – ‘shall we do it all again tomorrow?’. We can relate.”
Delights’ new single ‘Two Times Over’ is out now via Modern Sky. Catch them live on the following dates:
June 23 – Liverpool, Pier Head On The Waterfront
July 25 – Steventon, Truck Festival
August 4 – Derbyshire, Y Not Festival
August 10 – Birkenhead, Birkenhead Live
November 1 – Manchester, New Century Hall
