Carter was the brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter and forged his own pop music career in the early 2000s. In the year 2000, Carter — at the age of 13 — released the album Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), which sold over three million copies in the United States alone. The album featured singles such as “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), “I Want Candy”, and “That’s How I Beat Shaq.”
Following the success of his debut album and Aaron’s Party, Carter made multiple appearances on Nickelodeon programs and served as the opening act for the Backstreet Boys and on Britney Spears’ Oops!… I Did It Again Tour.
In his later years, though, Carter struggled with legal, financial, and addiction issues. At one point, he weighed just 115 pounds despite being 6 feet tall and had to check himself into rehab. Carter also had issues with his family, as his brother Nick and his sister Angel sought restraining orders against him after he reportedly confessed to having thoughts of killing Nick’s then-pregnant wife Lauren.
Most recently, Carter launched an OnlyFans account in 2020 and was a member of a Las Vegas Production in 2021, although he was ultimately fired before the show’s debut.
Our thoughts are with Carter’s friends, family, and various loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
