Sharna Burgess is showing off her baby bump in a bathing suit! The Dancing with the Stars pro flaunts her baby-to-be in her latest Instagram post. “When the light hits him just right,” she wrote, adding two hearts and a peanut emoji. She also opened up about the mixed emotions she is experiencing with both impending motherhood and the recent loss of her father. “The next photo is one I took right when I found out. I was in shock and still trying to process that this was real. It felt weird taking a photo in that moment but I’m glad I did. This week I have a video for you guys of that moment and some really special reveals afterward. Mostly telling my mum and dad and our first ultrasound trip… I’m a mess of course 😂 I was also a mess editing it. Seeing my Dad in videos I haven’t watched since he passed was both beautiful and hard. There aren’t words for how grateful I am that we got to share those moments before he left,” she wrote. “I’m a big fan of Tabata because you get so much work done so quickly and you don’t even realize it,” she told Us Weekly about the method, which consists of doing an intense exercise move for 20 seconds, resting for ten, and doing it again. “You’re sticking to a schedule, you can’t mosey about. You’re in and you’re out in eight minutes with this one.”

Sharna doesn’t rush through her workouts. Instead, she pays attention to her form. “What you want to remember is to keep your core engaged,” she added to Us. “This isn’t just booty, this is essentially all over your body as well. You’re engaging your shoulders, you’re keeping yourself supported. Don’t let everything hunch and sink.”

“The best form of exercise is one that you enjoy,” Sharna explained to People.. “Find a local dance studio, take a friend to hot yoga — make it a social thing if you struggle to find the motivation. Once there are changes in your body and your energy levels, that will be all the motivation you need.”

Sharna practices mindfulness with eating. “The key to this is PORTION CONTROL,” she wrote in a blog on her now-defunct website. “You may not think another handful would make a difference, but times that handful by seven days or 30 days and before you know it, you’ve snacked your way to 7,000 calories.”

Sharna eats what she wants in moderation, but refuses to be miserable. “I don’t believe in deprivation, I do believe in healthy choices and making sure those choices stay available to you,” she added.

Sharna prioritizes hydration. “Drinking enough water has made a massive difference in my skin and even my sleep,” she wrote on her website.. “It helps flush toxins from your body naturally. Being dehydrated can easily cause you to snack more because you think you’re hungry when actually you lack energy because you’re thirsty.” She added: “Drink before you’re thirsty, feeling thirsty is a sign you are already dehydrated.”
