If you want a hot body like Mandira, challenge yourself. “The 40-days challenge was fantastic, but it’s time now to raise the bar. I am looking at 100-days. 100 days of healthy living. It is going to a minimum of 10000 steps and 45-minutes of exercise every single day along with mindful eating, good healthy balanced diet, and it begins today,” she wrote in one Instagram post.
Exercise is a daily job for Mandira. She wakes up and goes to the gym at 6:30 am almost every day. “I work out five days a week, and make sure I include cardio every day. Apart from going to the gym, I also like to swim and run,” she told the Hindustan Times.
Mandira gets her cardio in by hitting the pavement. “I usually run once every ten days but when it’s the monsoons, I run all through the season. So far, I have done two half marathons,” she told the Hindustan Times.
Mandira is also a fan of yoga, a workout for the body and the mind. “Started my morning doing a set of #sunsalutations on top of the world 🥰 at the #aerbar .. and I know it’s going to be a #lovelyday,” she captioned this image of herself striking a yoga pose.
When Mandira needs a reset, she takes time out of her busy schedule to take care of herself. “Thank you @atmantan and @fsmumbai for the most amazing 3 days of wellness, detox, therapy and healing all right here in the city. The yoga, the therapy, the kriyas and the food… all exemplary. The #urbanwellnessclinic is just what I needed at this point in my life to restart my journey through healing and to wellness,” she captioned this Instagram post.
Mandira uses a Garmin watch to track her activity. “When you live healthy, you live better. This latest GPS smartwatch from Garmin has advanced health monitoring and fitness features to help you better understand what’s going on inside your body. It offers longer battery life and better fitness tracking in a more traditional touchscreen smartwatch body,” she wrote. “Wear it all day and anywhere.”
Mandira doesn’t use traveling as an excuse to skip workouts. “You can do a complete body weight work out without any equipment – right from squats to jumping jacks,” she pointed out to the Hindustan Times. “Plus, you can always pack in things like running shoes, resistance bands and skipping ropes, which are light and hardly take up space in your luggage.”
Mandira maintains that you can’t stay in shape without a healthy diet. “Many people think that because they work out, they can eat anything. But your diet is 70% important, and exercising, only 30%. And on the other hand, there are people who starve themselves. Instead, find nourishing foods you like and eat more of those. Adopt a sustainable diet because you can’t beat what you eat,” she explained to Hindustan Times. She is a vegetarian, but does eat eggs. She also has a sweet tooth. “Come Friday or Saturday, and my diet goes for a toss. If I’m having wine on a Friday night, I have to have chocolates with it. In fact, I have a weakness for everything chocolate – be it desserts or ice cream. I also love binging on cakes. I mean, it’s somebody’s birthday, somewhere, right?”
