Algiers are set to return with a new album: Shook is due out February 24 via Matador. Along with the announcement, the Atlanta four-piece has unveiled a new song called “Irreversible Damage,” featuring Rage Against the Machine bandleader Zack de la Rocha. In addition to Zack de la Rocha, Shook includes collaborations with Big Rube (of the Dungeon Family), Samuel T. Herring (of Future Islands), Jae Matthews (of Boy Harsher), DeForrest Brown, Jr. (aka Speaker Music), Mark Cisneros (of Hammered Hulls), and more. The record also features the recent collaboration with billy woods and Backxwash, “Bite Back.”
Shook is Algiers’ forth studio album, following 2020’s There Is No Year, 2017’s The Underside of Power, and a 2015 self-titled debut.
