Brooks revealed to Women’s Health that she is working on taking care of her mental health. “In the past I would wait until I’d find myself a bit overwhelmed or stressed [then] think ‘Oh, I need to take some time for myself’,” she says. “But this year, as we’ve all been more aware of mental health, I’ve tried to make time for myself before I got to a bad place. I’ve been making an effort to be more consistent about having balance and looking after myself.”

Brooks revealed some of her favorite workouts to Women’s Health. She says that she loves doing reformer pilates. “It’s the best thing I’ve found for my body. I find that it’s kind of meditative when I do it, it’s not just, ‘Oh I’ve got to go work out now,’ it’s something I actually really enjoy. Ideally, I like to do reformer two to three times a week. That makes me feel great.”

On days when Brooks doesn’t do pilates, she likes to go on walks. “I don’t feel like I need to exercise but if I do, it’s just something like a gentle walk,” she tells Women’s Health “At one stage I was overdoing it and trying to go every day, just because I loved it so much, but I think my body actually resisted that and it just felt like a bit too much, so I pulled it back, which is better for my body.”

Brooks has amazing skin, and she takes care of it. She revealed her tips to Body & Soul. “When‌ ‌it‌ ‌comes‌ ‌to‌ ‌skincare,‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌morning ‌I‌ ‌wash‌ ‌my‌ ‌face‌ ‌with‌ ‌cleanser‌ ‌and‌ ‌usually‌ ‌spritz‌ ‌with‌ Minenssey‌ Hydrating‌ ‌SOS‌ ‌Mist‌ ‌as‌ ‌it‌ ‌makes‌ ‌me‌ ‌feel‌ ‌fresh‌ ‌and‌ ‌ready‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌day.‌ ‌I‌ ‌always‌ ‌apply‌ ‌sunscreen.‌ ‌I‌ ‌love‌ ‌La‌ ‌Roche-Posay‌ ‌SPF‌ ‌50,‌ ‌it‌ ‌absorbs‌ ‌really‌ ‌well.‌ ‌As‌ ‌soon‌ ‌as‌ ‌I‌ ‌get‌ ‌home‌, ‌I‌ ‌remove‌ ‌my‌ ‌makeup‌ ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌micellar‌ ‌water,‌ ‌I‌ ‌will‌ ‌usually‌ ‌cleanse‌ ‌again‌ ‌to‌ ‌make‌ ‌sure‌ ‌I‌ ‌have‌ ‌removed‌ ‌everything‌ ‌then‌ ‌finish‌ ‌off‌ ‌with‌ ‌Minenssey‌ ‌Hydrating‌ ‌Quenching‌ ‌Aqua‌ ‌Cream‌. ‌

Brooks tells Body & Soul that she loves to get massages. She says that they help take care of her body. “I’ll‌ ‌usually‌ ‌get‌ ‌a‌ ‌massage‌ ‌at‌ ‌least‌ ‌once‌ ‌a‌ ‌month‌ ‌to‌ ‌release‌ ‌tension.‌ ‌I‌ ‌find‌ ‌it‌ ‌helps‌ ‌a‌ ‌lot‌ ‌with‌ ‌lymphatic‌ ‌drainage‌ ‌too.‌” “Lymph normally does an important job for your body. It carries foreign material and bacteria away from your skin and body tissues, and it circulates infection-fighting cells that are part of your immune system,” says Harvard Health. “Lymph flows slowly through the network of vessels called your lymphatic system. Lymph flow stops at points along the way to be filtered through lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are small bean-shaped organs that are part of your immune system.”
