INFLUENCER Brian Johnson looks unrecognisable in a throwback photo he shared from his teenage years.
The then baby-faced fitness fanatic, now known as the Liver King, posed by the pool with his chiselled appearance on display.
Brian shared the snap on his Instagram last November as he revealed details about his traumatic past.
The influencer penned: “This was taken before I could legally drive. For context, my life was a living hell for most of my adolescent years (and I wouldn’t trade it for anything).
“I was the only one-of-my-kind at my school… to make matters worse for myself… I was undersized… I looked funny… I didn’t have a single friend and I had absolutely no concept of self-worth.
“I got the crap kicked, punched and pummelled outta me on the daily — for years (no hyperbole).
“Without my Dad around, I had to figure a way out of that hellhole that was my life, and I did. I got to work. I got strong.”
Brain went on to explain how the bullying acted as a catalyst for change in his life – enabling him to “impose his will”.
“I took ownership and I ran towards my demons. I led myself to confidence and I created a new life for myself… a life that I wanted to live in,” he continued.
“That was my rite of passage, and it changed me and it forged me into the evolutionary hunter, the unrelenting fighter, the serial ancestral entrepreneur, that I am today.
“Thirty years later. I’m in the best shape of my life. If you’re asking what changed… that’s simple.
“I started putting back in what the modern world left out.”
Bodybuilder has earnt his reputation online after bringing his unconventional lifestyle into the mainstream.
In many of his viral videos on TikTok and Instagram, Brian Johnson has submerged himself in ice baths, dragged huge weights using only his teeth, and even caught fish straight from the sea with just his teeth.
However, his persona exploded on social media when began sharing daily videos of his meals.
Liver King, as his name suggests. maintains his physique by following a diet of raw beef liver, protein shakes, egg yolks and bone marrow.
Speaking to GQ, he previously said he eats around a pound of raw liver every day – though recommends others start with three ounces, two times a week.
And only recently, the so-called Liver King put his title to the test when he engaged in a liver eating contest with Bellator lightweight champion Patricky Freire and UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa.
The clip showed the three gentlemen chowing down on raw meat in front of a audience of media and camera crew.
Unsurprisingly, the Liver King did what he did best, taking home the crown.
The influencer is thought to reside in Austin, Texas which he shares with his wife – known as the Liver Queen – and his two kids.
And despite sharing photos and videos of his workouts in lush locations around the world, he lives a relatively minimalist lifestyle.
He claims he sleeping on a bed made from wooden pallets and has even installed Faraday curtains on the windows to prevent radiowaves passing through.
His family reportedly live by what they refer to as the nine ancestral tenants; to eat, sleep, move, shine, connect, cold, sun, fight and bond.
