After taking the wock to Poland, Lil Yachty has found himself in Canada, or at least wearing it, as the model for OVO’s latest Fall and Winter collection, a collaboration with the University of Toronto.
OVO teased the upcoming collaboration on their Instagram page where Yachty wore different pieces of clothing including a navy blue sweater with the University of Toronto’s logo on it, a white long-sleeved polo with the university’s crest in the centre, and a heavily branded varsity jacket with the logo and crest stitched onto the sleeves and back.
In a separate Instagram post, OVO also teased a tote bag and two caps.
OVO and the University of Toronto had previously collaborated on a 2021 collection that featured four-time Olympic Medalist and University of Toronto alumnus Kylie Masse in its campaign video soundtracked by Canadian composer Chilly Gonzales.
Lil Yachty has had a busy week. Before unveiling his collaboration with OVO, he saw “Poland,” a leaked track of his, blow up online over the weekend. Along with the song’s catchy hook came an abundance of memes that haven’t stopped since the track leaked.
After the leak amassed thousands of views on unofficial Youtube channels, Yachty released the single today on streaming services.
