KIM Kardashian’s fans are cringing after she appeared to be snubbed by Anna Wintour at the Fendi fashion show in New York on Sunday.
The reality star was standing next to actress Sarah Jessica Parker in the front row when they both spotted Anna walking towards them.
Both Kim, 41, and Sarah, 57, smiled excitedly and waved at the legendary Vogue editor, 72.
However, it appeared to be clear who Anna favors as she seemed to ignore Kim and went straight over to Sarah.
The pair hugged as Kim stood by awkwardly, smiling and looking down.
A short clip of the interaction has done the rounds on social media, where viewers said they felt “embarrassed” for Kim.
One wrote, “That was painfully satisfying,” while another posted: “I have second-hand embarrassment for Kim.”
A third claimed: “Anna Wintour has more respect for SJP’s sense of fashion.”
Kim and Anna have become friends since she graced the cover of Vogue with her ex Kanye West in 2014 to mark their wedding.
Anna later said of the cover: “Kim and Kanye were part of the conversation of the day, and for Vogue not to recognize that would have been a big misstep.
“But at the same time, I knew that it would be deeply, deeply controversial and that many of our readers and our audiences would be horrified.”
Kim and Anna have been spotted together at numerous events over the years and in June, The Kardashians star even convinced the self-confessed selfie hater to pose for a selfie.
Despite the pair’s positive relationship, that didn’t stop the Vogue boss from calling out Kim during the 2019 Met Gala.
ANNA’S DEMAND
In former New York Magazine editor Amy Odell’s forthcoming book, Anna: The Biography, she detailed the interaction.
According to Time’s excerpt from the upcoming title, Anna repeatedly told Kim to sit down at the esteemed event.
For the occasion, the 41-year-old wore a custom latex Thierry Mugler dress that sat tight against her figure.
The design accentuated her hourglass curves with its body-hugging fit and the intense corset she wore underneath.
At the camp-themed event, Anna reportedly kept asking her friend and former Vogue West Coast director Lisa Love to get Kim to “sit down.”
Lisa had to explain to the 72-year-old that the reality star was actually unable to sit because of the tight dress she was wearing.
WEIGHT LOSS
Meanwhile, Kim has faced backlash since she admitted to dropping 16lbs in three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress for the Met Gala in May.
The SKIMS founder told Vogue at the Met Gala: “I tried [the dress] on and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’
“I had to lose 16 pounds down today. It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks.”
And in June, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum admitted she has lost even more weight after sticking to the ultra-strict diet.
She said on The TODAY show: “It actually taught me a lot about my lifestyle and my health, and since then, afterward, I continued to eat really healthy.
“I mean, I’m down 21 pounds now. I’m not trying to lose any more weight, but I have more energy than ever.”
