First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in the baby carriage.
That rhyme is completely outdated and old news!
Today’s rhyme goes: First comes love, then comes kids, then comes co-parenting to not look like a piece of shizzzzz.
At least that’s the way celebrities are making it out to be.
Old School Parenting Is OUT… Co-Parenting Is IN!
It looks like the secret to successful celebrity co-parenting is to not make yourself look like the bad guy.
Rather, let the other person in the relationship do the dirty work, aka make themselves look like an a**hole.
There are so many celebrities who are currently co-parenting a child or multiple children.
Co-parenting is an enterprise undertaken by parents who together take on the socialization, care, and upbringing of children for whom they share equal responsibility.
I mean take a look at the entire Kardashian-Jenner family. Kourtney and Scott, Kim and Kanye, Khloe and Tristan, Rob and Blac Chyna, and Kylie and Travis.
The Kar-Jenners Co-Parent Like It’s There Job… Because It Is
The ladies (and Rob) have an image to uphold, so they allow the paternal co-parent make all the mistakes.
Fans of the famous family have seen every man and woman involved in the co-parenting relationship make the biggest “F-Ups” on a global stage.
Scott is a “reformed” party boy and alcoholic. Kanye has a hair trigger temper and has gone off on his ex-wife and former in-laws on several occasions on social media.
Tristan… where do we even begin? He’s cheated on Khloe PUBLICLY too many times to count.
Blac Chyna recently lost a mega-million lawsuit against Rob and his family over a 2016 scuffle between her and Rob.
Kylie and Travis seem to be the only functional couple to welcome children out of wedlock in the couple.
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are currently co-parenting their two young children, Otis (8) and Daisy (5).
Following their 13-year relationship, Wilde called it quits with the “Ted Lasso” star in November 2020. A month later, she was spotted holding hands with Harry Styles.
The “Don’t Worry Darling” director recently opened up about her decision to leave her relationship with Sudeikis and co-parent their children.
Olivia Left Jason Because It Wasn’t Beneficial For Their Kids
In her October cover story for Vanity Fair, Wilde said, “Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic (March 2020).”
Wilde continued, “We were raising two kids during lockdown, so we co-parented through that time. Once it became clear that cohabitating was no longer beneficial for the children, it became the responsible thing to not, because we could be better parents as friends who live in different houses.”
Tori Spelling recently opened up about co-parenting with her estranged husband, Dean McDermott.
Tori Says Co-Parenting Can’t Work Without Both Parents
While the couple is not divorced, they have sparked rumors of a troubled marriage.
She told People that she’s grateful for the partnership between herself and Dean.
“Co-parenting, Dean and I definitely have different parenting strategies,” Spelling admitted. “I’m kind of the feelings mom and he’s more procedural. He’s really great at timing and planning. I’m not good with that.”
Tori insists their Yin and Yang is what keeps their family afloat.
“You need both of those to make it work. You really do need that to be a complete human. You need both worlds,” she said.
Tori and Dean share Liam (15), Stella (14), Hattie & Finn (10) and Beau (5).
