Kid Cudi has a solid circle of support.
On Thursday, the multi-hyphenate hit up Twitter to shout-out his good friends Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg. Though he didn’t provide details about the conversations, Cudder revealed both artists gave him some “clarity” during his time of need.
“Got some wisdom from Hov and uncle Snoop the other day,” he wrote. “Feels good to know I can hit them when I need someone to talk to for clarity. I love them forever.”
The post came about a week after Kanye West took more shots at his former friend Cudi. The two had a falling out earlier this year over Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson, who was dating Ye’s estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, at the time. On Friday, Kanye extended an olive branch to Cudi and other foes, saying he was no longer holding any grudges.
“Life is precious. Releasing all grudges today. Leaning into the light,” he wrote on social media. “Best wishes and blessings to Pete, Cudi, [and] Daniel Cheery.”
But Kanye wasn’t the only artist who recently took aim at Cudi. On Thursday, producer Mike Dean referred to the rapper as “Mid Cudi,” and suggested he was removed from the Moon Man’s Landing Festival for petty reasons.
“Dickhead canceled me just from jealousy,” Dean wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Just because I was on tour with The Weeknd. Also there’s more people in a half full stadium when I play than when Mid plays the small arenas.”
Cudi has not directly responded to Dean.
The Moon Man’s Landing Festival will go down Sept. 17 in Cleveland. The line-up includes everyone from Pusha-T and Playboi Carti to Don Toliver and Haim.
