TV personality Adrienne Bailon Houghton is all about inspiring women in the most profound way!
The American actress, popularly known for her role in “The Cheetah Girls” series, is aiming to boost the morale of women going through the same challenge she endured. Adrienne spoke at length, advising women to stand their ground in how they choose to control their narratives and what they decide to share with the public.
Adrienne Bailon Inspires Women To Embrace Their Decisions
The “No More” singer, during an interview with ET, implored women to be confident in telling off individuals who make it a habit to pry and ask inappropriate questions about their bodies. In her words,
“I hope that even by me not giving the information, it hopefully inspired somebody to say, ‘I don’t owe this to anyone, I don’t owe an explanation to anyone about why, how,’ and I think that there is that saying, ‘Get out of my uterus.”
Adrienne believes women should not feel bad for telling people to mind their business. She said, “They don’t owe anybody that explanation, it is their journey to own, and it is all their own, and it is between them and their family and the people that love them.”
Her inspirational message comes in weeks after the delivery of her son, Ever. The TV personality noted that the decision to use a surrogate wasn’t an easy one while explaining how she experienced multiple miscarriages and failed IVF’S. The former Talk Show host said:
“I know it sounds weird but after everything I’ve been through, multiple miscarriages, I’ve done IVF eight times, so, I feel like to some extent, I owed it to myself to give myself that privacy, to give myself the right to have something sacred and something just for us, and our family.”
While speaking in the shoes of women, the mum of one gave an account of what it felt like to experience a miscarriage, announce it, and then comfort those who receive the news. She praised women for being strong individuals, hoping they carry out what works for them.
The Mother-Of-One Prioritized Her Sanity by being Discreet
It’s no news that Adrienne had been vocal about her inability to conceive over the years, which left her emotionally drained. Last month, The Blast shared that the “Together We Can” singer had valid reasons for keeping the conception of her son Ever from her loved ones and the ever-prying media.
The reason for this act was to protect her mental health, as the inability to conceive in time weighed heavily on her shoulder. The “Coalition” star succeeded in keeping the news from her loved ones. And described the reaction of her sister when she heard the goodness. In the 38-year-old words:
“Even my sister, who watched The Real throughout the whole last season, literally said to me, ‘Adrienne, I am impressed.’ She’s like, ‘I am so proud of you. You are really holding this.’ I did that because it was really sacred to me.”
The “I Do” star admitted to telling only six people in the earlier stages of the pregnancy irrespective of the fact that she wanted to keep it under wraps. The protection of her mental health was paramount and came first throughout the process, as that period was a vulnerable moment in her life.
According to the new mum, staying away from public scrutiny was very crucial to her while hinting that she derived joy from keeping the news a secret from the public.
Adrienne Bailon Honors Son Ever In The Sweetest Way
Fans of Adrienne would have noticed how obsessed and wholeheartedly in love she is with her son. In August, The Blast reported on how the “Gift” actress paid tribute to her newborn via Instagram with a beautiful caption that made fans teary and in awe.
The sweet mum went ahead to share a snap of her newly tattooed hand, which had the name of her son inked on. She proudly showed off the new ink while crediting the artist on the post. She wrote, “@mnsantanatattoo – I am so in love with @everjames tattoo.”
The “Real” co-host went ahead to make a second post about her son, featuring both herself and the little one’s sweater-covered hand. The star made a third and final post on her Instagram. In this final post, she had “Ever’s Mami” penned by the side of a Styrofoam cup. This showcased her love for her son Ever to the world.
