The Newport Jazz festival is currently auctioning off the official artist signs from this year’s event. These were created by longtime Newport Festivals sign-writer Nan Parati. Most of these were signed at the festival by the artists, who participated in many of the sets, including: Celebrating George Wein, Esperanza Spalding, Cecile McLorin Salvant, The Fearless Flyers, McBride’s Newport Jawn, Angelique Kidjo’s Remain In Light, Benevento/Russo Duo Acoustic, Terence Blanchard, Celisse, Lettuce, Digable Planets and Sons Of Kemet. All proceeds will benefit Newport Festivals Foundation’s music education and artist relief initiatives.
The auction will conclude on Thursday, September 15th at 3:59 PM EST. An auction of Newport Folk Festival signs, which began on August 31 will also end at that time.
