‘RHOBH’ star Erika Jayne is firing back against Nicolas Cage’s ex-girlfriend claiming she isn’t responsible, nor was she aware, of her husband’s alleged legal fraud.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ star responded to a lawsuit filed by Fulton — accusing her of being involved in a tax fraud scheme with ex-husband Tom Girardi, involving his law firm. Erika is clear, she isn’t responsible for any of the allegations against her ex, and wants this lawsuit dismissed ASAP!
In the filing, Jayne is asking the court to toss the case, and order Fulton to pay attorney fees and costs associated with having to answer the lawsuit.

As we reported, Christina Fulton sued Erika Jayne over her alleged possession of $745,000 of “stolen property.” The suit accuses two lawyers working for Erika’s estranged husband of breaking their fiduciary duties, and legal malpractice, saying she “was one of the firm’s clients who was, unfortunately, a victim of this fraud and theft.” Fulton hired the firm ‘Giardi Keese’ to represent her in “connection with claims based on severe injuries she sustained in an automobile accident on or about January 1, 2016.” The case was settled in 2019.
The lawsuit claims Erika’s company — EJ Global LLC — “was created for the purpose of funneling money from Girardi Keese to benefit Erika.” Additionally, the documents allege that the Girardi’s were using Erika’s company to avoid paying taxes.
At this point, they are saying Erika was aware of the scheme, so she is also responsible. “Erika and Tom Girardi would deduct EJG´s expenses on their personal tax return, and Girardi Keese would keep the money paid to Erika as a bogus receivable on its books and records. Erika clearly knew that for tax years 2011 to 2013, the FTB found that the entity was created as a tax avoidance entity,” it reads.

In the response, Erika is saying she and her company, “further deny, generally and specifically, that they have engaged in any wrongful conduct or that Ms. Fulton has been damaged in any amount, or at all, by reason of any act or omission.”
The decision is now up to a judge.
It should be noted, that Erika Jayne recently won a small victory in one of her ongoing legal battles, with a Los Angeles Judge ruling that there was “no wrongdoing” in her husband’s issues on the part of the former housewife. In the suit, a judge said the person suing didn’t prove the reality star had any knowledge of alleged fraud by her husband.
“We expect that other ‘aiding and abetting’ lawsuits against Erika, which accuse her of participating in some sort of ‘fraud,’ will fail for the same reason – they are contrary to the truth and based on no real evidence,” he lawyer said following the decision.
This decision, Jayne’s lawyer believes will have an impact on cases like the one filed by Fulton. “We expect that other ‘aiding and abetting’ lawsuits against Erika, which accuse her of participating in some sort of ‘fraud,’ will fail for the same reason – they are contrary to the truth and based on no real evidence,” he said.
The case is ongoing.
