Milian revealed some of her beauty secrets to Glamour. She says that one of her biggest secrets is authenticity, and she loves to look natural. “When it comes to beauty, there’s so much emphasis on looking a certain way that we often forget to prioritize what makes us feel good. There’s something freeing about being unapologetically yourself. For me, authenticity holds so much more value than perfection.”
In her Glamour interview, Milian revealed some of her beauty and skin tips. She says that she always makes sure to wash her makeup off each night. “Before I was a mom and was going out with my girlfriends all the time, I definitely went to sleep in my makeup and would wake up with my pillows covered in mascara. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve switched over to taking care of my skin, so even just a quick cleanse at night is essential.”
Milian has amazing hair, and she makes sure to take care of it. She revealed one of her favorite hair products to Glamour. “There’s no surprise that I use coconut oil. It really is a staple in my beauty routine, and it keeps my hair hydrated, silky, and shiny.”
Milian has a busy schedule and does a lot of things. However, she tells Glamour that she always does things that make her happy. “For me, everything I do as an actress, singer, entrepreneur, and mom, my main goal is making sure the energy I put into my work makes others feel good. I believe it’s so important to feed your mind, body, and skin the good stuff. Life gets chaotic. Period. That’s why you need to put time and energy into the things that make you happy and feel great—speak to yourself in the mirror with kindness, celebrate the real you.”
Milian has an amazing smile. She tells Byrdie that she makes sure to take care of her teeth. “There is a lack of education around dental health and access to dental care within the Black and Hispanic community. Growing up, I witnessed it with my parents. They didn’t have the education or the healthcare to take care of their teeth. As they grew older, I saw them go through the pain of having to get root canals and have random shooting pains in their teeth. Because of that, they taught my sister and me about the importance of flossing and brushing. I’m now passing that messaging on to my children, and I want to help other families recognize the importance of good oral habits.”
