The skateboarding icon appeared in London this weekend
Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk turned his hand to music earlier this week, performing a cover of Goldfinger‘s ‘Superman’ live in London.
Covers band The 900 were performing at Signature Brew on Saturday (July 30). The group specialise in tracks that were featured on the soundtrack to the ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ video game series.
Hawk suprised the band by appearing at the show and joining them on stage for the encore, telling the crowd “I want to thank you all for coming out, and I want to thank these guys. It’s such an honor that there’s even a cover band for the songs in our games. I had to join the party. Enjoy. Here we go, you might know this song.”

Not gonna lie, when we booked a @tonyhawk soundtrack cover band, we didn’t expect actual Tony Hawk to show up in London and cover @goldfingermusic with them. Sorry, what just happened?? pic.twitter.com/K0Hpd2A7bq
