Bristol rock trio Krooked Tongue have released their latest single, ‘Dog Days,’ offering a heartfelt preview of their upcoming debut album, set for release in early 2026.
Produced by long-time collaborator Josh Gallop at Stage 2 Studios in Bath, ‘Dog Days’ pairs the band’s signature bass-heavy grit with a softer, nostalgic edge. Written first on acoustic guitar and later expanded into a full electric arrangement, the track captures the heady rush of first love, a theme the band delivers with both authenticity and emotional weight.
“‘Dog Days’ is a love song that lingers on the lattice of a ghostly, nostalgia-drenched wedding dress. I feel like ‘Dog Days’ is a tune that perfectly sums up that feeling of teenage love; There’s a chaotic beauty in teenage love. It’s everything and nothing all at once.”
With their debut album on the horizon and a live date supporting False Heads at The Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham on August 30th, Krooked Tongue are firmly staking their place as one of the UK’s emerging rock acts to watch. ‘Dog Days’ is out now on all major streaming platforms.
