General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo and ex-Quinn Fuller on The Bold and the Beautiful) is NOT done at GH, so Lois will return despite the actress’ move to New York.
Daytime Confidential recently reported on Sofer being out at the ABC soap, but SOD insists that Sofer will be a recurring player who commutes for future appearances. In fact, Sofer is set to film back in Los Angeles within the next month.
On Instagram, Rena Sofer and her husband, Sanford Bookstaver, recently made a big announcement about their move from LA to New York with all their pups.
“We’ve been in LA for almost 35 years and now it’s time for me and @sbookstaver to go…Yes I’m getting emotional. I met and had my children in LA met the man of my dreams and created an incredible life there,” Sofer said in her post.
Sofer also reflected on her time in show business so far and had nothing but gratitude for the friendships she made along the way.
“I had amazing success in the Biz and made all my lifelong friends who I will miss desperately. Most of all my BFF @arinacabral and my Brother @davidsofer53 !!! Thank you LA for being you,” Sofer added.
Although Sofer valued her time in Los Angeles and made some wonderful memories, she’s ready to enjoy a different pace of life and a fresh start.
“And now on to quieter and calmer times…Now we are off in our @rivianofficial with our 5 dogs in the back to our new life!!! #saygoodbyetohollywood,” Sofer said.
Sofer and Bookstaver were beaming with joy in the video they posted, so they certainly weren’t looking for anyone to rain on their parade! That’s why Sofer made it clear that any nasty comments would earn a block from her.
Fortunately, Sofer got plenty of supportive comments instead – both from fans and from her former co-stars.
It’s nice to see Sofer following her dreams and doing what makes her happy.
Of course, it’s also great news that Sofer still plans to commute when necessary and continue her role as Lois.
That’s especially true since Lois’ storyline is in a tough state of limbo right now.
When Lois popped back up in late July, she inadvertently ambushed Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) on Home and Heart thanks to Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) trick.
Brook Lynn fired Lois and refused to give her mom the forgiveness she’s longing for – though she missed Lois deep down and felt empty in the aftermath.
Nevertheless, Lois decided to head back to Bensonhurst and wait for Brook Lynn to come around. Since Rena Sofer has more filming days coming up soon, maybe forgiveness is indeed in Lois’ future.
General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn will have plenty of other messes to deal with in the meantime, so stay tuned for updates on all the trouble to come.
