Rose Byrne & Conan O'Brien Star

Life as a working mother has its challenges, something Linda (Rose Byrne) knows all too well in this first look at If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, the new A24 movie written and directed by Mary Bronstein. And because her therapist (Conan O’Brien) isn’t that understanding, she’s forced to look elsewhere for escape from her challenging job and flooded apartment — perhaps with some help from the random stranger (ASAP Rocky) she just met at a motel?

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. It is now working its way through the rest of the fest circuit after competing at this year’s Berlin Film Festival, where Rose Byrne won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance.

While Byrne of course has been an acclaimed actor for years, this move marks a rare instance of Conan O’Brien demonstrating his dramatic chops (especially considering how much of his filmography consists of him cameoing as himself). Additionally, ASAP Rocky isn’t making his acting debut here; that happened with the 2015 movie coming-of-age dramedy Dope, and in 2025 he also has a featured role in Spike Lee’s newest joint, Highest 2 Lowest.
