Anamanaguchi has released their explosive new single ‘Rage (Kitchen Sink),’ the third offering from their highly anticipated new album Anyway, arriving August 8th via Polyvinyl Record Co.

Blending punk urgency with glitch-heavy digital textures, ‘Rage (Kitchen Sink)’ delivers an anthemic and emotional centerpiece for the album. Produced with Grammy-winning engineer Dave Fridmann and animated in a new video directed by Lucy Gan and animated by AOK, the track confronts modern disconnection, loneliness, and the numbing echo chamber of digital rage. Fueled by distorted guitars and kinetic rhythm, the single cuts deep into themes of frustration and performative solidarity in an isolating online world.

The band explains in a statement posted to socials:

“‘Rage’ is a statement of where we’re at as a band, as people in the world. It’s the heart of the album for us, and we’re happy to finally share it with you. The word injustice barely scratches the surface of the worldwide dehumanization we have seen unfold the past few years, and ‘Rage’ was our way of exploring those feelings in a song.”

‘Rage (Kitchen Sink)’ is out now. With Anyway, Anamanaguchi embraces live instrumentation and a rawer, analog sound, recorded straight to tape in a shift from their usual digital-first approach. Pre-orders are available now.
