Gabrielle Nevaeh has already built an impressive resume at the young age of 20, including a starring role on Broadway in the Tony-winning play Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
If you’ve turned on Nickelodeon in the last five years, chances are you already are familiar with Gabrielle thanks to her roles on All That and That Girl Lay Lay.
Now, Gabrielle is playing the role of Patty Newby in the Stranger Things prequel story, which is currently playing on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre.
We caught up with Gabrielle to learn some things that fans might not already know about her. Check out 10 Fun Facts below!
- I’ve been playing air hockey since I was tall enough to reach the table. To this day, I’ve beat just about everyone that I’ve ever played. It’s kind of my super power.
- I’ve always had a passion for the game of chess and even as a kid, I joined my school’s chess club.
- I love to read. When I was much younger, my parents would actually have to ask me to put my book down when taking trips and car rides to look around and enjoy the scenery.
- I am an environmental advocate, focusing on sustainability and conservation. I’m on the Young Hollywood Board for the Environmental Media Association.
- I enjoy fencing. I took fencing up as a hobby a few years ago as a way to unwind after long days on set.

- I was homeschooled from 7th grade through high school. Homeschooling allowed for me to continue my academic career while filming various television shows.
- I keep a Christmas tree up, year-round in my dressing room on set. On All That, I decided that I wanted an “everything tree” in my dressing room, so I would change the ornaments with each season.
- I like to juggle when memorizing my lines. Focusing on something else while simultaneously working on a script enables my mind to retain the information faster.
- I collect sneakers. I love all brands and aspire to have a wide variety.
- I’m learning how to crochet. I’m still learning the ropes, but my goal is to become really good at it by the end of the year.
