Dogs are man’s best friends but SNL alum Andy Samberg wants nothing to do with Seth Meyers’ dog ‘Frisbee’ and actually loathes the very fiber of Frisbee’s existence, which is something we all just learned.
The reveal came through Amy Poehler‘s Good Hang podcast where she had fellow Saturday Night Live alum Seth Meyers on. Seth planted the seed, telling Amy all about how much Andy Samberg hates Seth’s dog.
Amy Poehler was already well aware of the Frisbee hatred from Andy Samberg. The three of them all go back decades together from their SNL days and have remained great friends… Again, this is a dog we’re talking about and not a flying disc.
While speaking with Amy, Seth Meyers prodded her to tell Andy Samberg that his dog Frisbee had passed away. Amy had told Seth that Samberg was her next guest and it led to the perfect opportunity.

What’s the story on Seth’s dog Frisbee?
Seth’s dog Frisbee is 12 and turns 13 next month on August 22nd, according to Dog Time. That photograph above is Frisbee celebrating his 12th birthday on August 22 of last year.
Frisbee is an Italian Greyhound. It is an uncommon breed in the United States. They rank 63rd out of the top 199 breeds track by the American Kennel Club.
According to Hill’s Pet, the Italian Greyhound breed has seen a spike in popularity in recent years. The interest has been driven by the breed’s “charming personalities” and their adaptability to living in a variety of situations.
But not everyone loves this breed… Not Andy Samberg!
During an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg called Frisbee “clearly some sort of rat-foreskin hybrid.” It was the first reveal to the public that Andy had it out for Seth’s dog.
One would think that Andy would have compassion for Frisbee with how much the dog means to Seth. When Meyers proposed to his now wife, he tied the engagement ring around Frisbee’s collar, a story Seth revealed on Fallon back in 2013.
