Industry sources confirm BTS will make its long-awaited full-group comeback in March next year, with their exact schedule yet to be finalized.

Speculation has been mounting among fans and the broader K-pop industry about when BTS will reunite and resume activities as a group. All seven members will have completed their mandatory 18-month military service by this weekend, with Suga scheduled to be discharged on Saturday. Multiple industry sources confirm to The Korea Herald that BTS is due to make its highly anticipated comeback as a full group in March 2026.

A Hybe official and two additional sources told The Korea Herald that while the exact date is unknown, BTS’ comeback date will be mid-March next year. “I heard BTS is returning in the same month as their brother group, Tomorrow X Together,” said one source, who was unsure which group would reunite first.

Another source said that Belift Lab’s boy group Enhypen had initially planned its comeback for March. They later moved their comeback to January to avoid overlapping with the return of BTS. Big Hit Music, meanwhile, said no confirmation has been made on BTS’ exact comeback schedule. Big Hit Music, which manages BTS, and Belift Lab, are both subsidiaries under Hybe’s multi-label system.

Initially, Hybe CEO Lee Jae-sang had indicated a longer timeline during the company’s shareholder meeting in March this year, to give BTS members time to prepare following their military discharge.

In the meantime, BTS’ Jin is preparing to kick off his solo tour, “RunSeokjin EP Tour,” in support of his first two solo albums, Happy and Echo. The tour starts June 28 and will take him to nine cities, including Goyang in South Korea, Chiba and Osaka in Japan, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, and Newark in the US, and finally London and Amsterdam. In total, 18 shows are planned through August 10, further making a BTS comeback this year unlikely.

Still, industry insiders hint at the possibility of a pre-release single or other project dropping before BTS’ official return.
